I must say that traction has been felt well since 2000, and in 2nd gear from 1500. This allows you to make good overtaking in 4th-5th gear.
If we compare with the 1.8 GDI engine on Karisma, where 122 hp, on the Elantra the reaction to gas is more dull, but the thrust starts at lower revs, on the GDI, with the Japanese gearbox, the gears are more stretched and the motor opens at 3000-3500 rpm min. At first, when shifting gears and when starting off, there was a twitching, apparently this is due to the lack of work of the clutch, now everything is normalized.
