REVIEW OF ULTRA HD TV LG 65 INCH 65UN73006LA
LG 65UN73006LA - TV of the 2020 lineup with SmartTV, Wi-Fi, a powerful and modern 4-core processor, a wide range of technologies to improve sound and video. Refers to the mid-budget segment.
The 65-inch model is the largest in this lineup. There are other diagonals in it - 50 and 55 inches.
The model has thin bezels around the screen, minimalistic design and wide metal legs. Their location is not very good - at the edges of the screen, at a great distance from each other. Because of this, you will not be able to simply turn the TV if it stands on a narrow shelf / chest of drawers / cabinet (or rather, it will work, but at a very small angle). Fortunately, the screen has very good viewing angles, and because of this, it is not necessary to sit directly in front of it.
There LG Smart 4k Inch 65 are 2 speakers, you cannot see their grille in front - they "look" down. All connectors are standardly placed on the back side and on the left (when looking at the screen) side. In front, only a small ledge in the center of the bottom is visible, with a light level sensor.
Installed unexpectedly smart for a TV of such a price, the Quad Core processor.
Matrix 65UN73006LA - IPS LED. For a mid-range TV, this is ideal. LEDs are cheaper: these TVs are cheaper than models with more modern OLED or Nano Cell technologies.
The type of pixel backlighting is Direct, that is, "direct". That is, the LEDs are located at the back of the matrix, and not on the side along the perimeter (like in the Edge). Such screens have better color reproduction, contrast and depth are displayed more correctly, and the color rendition itself turns out to be correct throughout the screen (that is, there is no such thing that in some areas the colors are overexposed or darkened, and on others - on the contrary: too bright).
And the good thing about using IPS is that such a matrix looks better at an angle. Most often, we watch TV this way: sitting slightly from the side. And on an IPS-screen, the colors when viewed from the side will look just as correct and bright (unlike VA-matrices, in which the color rendition begins to distort at an angle).
On the side, there is a CI 1.4 slot, 1 USB 2.0 and 2 HDMI 2.0. Behind - there is one more USB and HDMI, antenna connectors, LAN and audio output.
Plus there are wireless modules: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. Via Bluetooth, you can wirelessly connect external speakers or headphones (or play sound on both speakers and headphones at the same time).
The operating system of the 65UN73006LA is webOS 5.0, which is installed on all LG 2020 models. On the one hand, it is a simple, non-hanging and understandable OS. On the other hand, its app store is smaller than Android TV. This is a disadvantage, albeit an insignificant one: all the basic applications that a smart TV needs are in the LG Content Store.
But in terms of control, everything is 5: the TV set comes with the Magic Remote MR20, which can be safely called one of the best LG inventions in terms of user friendliness. In addition to the usual buttons on the remote control there is a wheel, like on a computer mouse - to scroll through sites in the browser. Very cool if you are going to use a large screen to watch news, for example.
